CARMEN'S PASSION

About Carmen's Passion

This piece is named after Carmen Miranda, my 3rd cousin. Her father and my great grandfater were brothers.

The small red and green berries in front are coffee picked from my land, as was the plumeria. The yellow fruit in front of the avocado is a lilikoi, or passion fruit.

The fabric in back shows my love of textiles and is from Kimura's Store, down the street in Kealakekua. They had the most yummy tropical fabrics I've ever seen.
