About Vintage Martin Ukelele & Lei
 
This still life I set up on my lanai in Kona with found objects.
 
The banana leaf upon which the items sit, was picked from my property. The lauhala mat in the background I bought at the famous Kona Flea Market.
 
The ukelele is a vintage Martin that my Dad bought on Oahu during the war.
 
This was one of my largest paintings. The fruit was bigger than life ~ the grapes the size of small plums, the apple the size of a grapefruit. I like the Art Deco vibe of this piece.
